Drapht (born Paul Ridge) is an Australian hip hop singer from Perth, Western Australia. Drapht is a member of the Syllaboliks (SBX) crew, which comprises fellow Australian hip hop artists from Perth. Drapht (born Paul Ridge) is from Perth, Australia. His father, Gary Ridge, a jazz drummer introduced Drapht to music from a very young age - he had his first taste of hip hop at the age of eight. Drapht attended Perth Modern School in Subiaco but was not involved in the school's music program. At school he became friends with Damien Allia (aka DJ Armee)
I went to school with Armee and he exposed me to hip-hop. He would play at the Hyde Park Hotel and I would try and sneak in because I was underage.
